After reading the This I Believe redings, I noticed the commmnalty between all three was the belief that to be educated has different meanings and education can be used in different ways. The first man, the teacher, uses his knowledge in martial arts and applies it to his every day life and his struggles. He does not use the knowledge physically but in another way. The second writer had knowledge of the streets but traded that in for knowledge in school. This new knowledge changes the way he sees the world and the way he acts. The thrid writer sees how somoeone who is not college educated can be very intelligent and inspirational.
